IPOS places 2nd at ASML Young Makers Award
On October 4th, ASML with JCI Eindhoven held their 7th annual ASML Young Makers Award event. This award aims to help startups with their marketing and to give them a platform to realize their goals. IPOS Technology and Polarik were the two finalists of the Beste Ondernemers Visie.
Dennis van der Wiel from Polariks and Menke Steenbergen from IPOS Technology were given 5 minutes to introduce and persuade the public of their products. Many were wowed by the "wine caressing the tongue" story of an innovative, more sustainable grape growing of Polarkis. While the horse-loving Brabants saw great opportunities on this World Animal Day for optimizing their own riding skills in favor of the horses’ health - based on the glowing argument from Menke Steenbergen about the IPOS rein sensors.
These pitches were followed by an interlude where the audience was asked to answer the question "What is the most important factor of success?" on their mobile phones. The three most frequently given answers appeared on the projection screen. The host asked each of the five Award contenders which success factor they chose, possibly outside the top three: “vision”, “passion” and “perseverance”, with “resilience” and "creativity" as well. Eventually, the audience designated Polariks as the winner. In addition to a cash sum, this young company is offered various coaching programs from ASML, NTS hardware and Reijnders lawyers. IPOS, coming in second, did not go home empty-handed, but instead, won workshop on “brand-driven business” from Delta Zuid.
