In the Netherlands, North Brabant is the province with the most equestrian clubs, the highest number of competition riders and the most competition horses. It has more than 300 horse-riding clubs with approximately 12,000 members. In addition, there are more than 40,000 recreational equestrian sports people in the province. Many Olympic medals have been won with Dutch horses by riders from this region, such as Anky van Grunsven, Piet Raijmakers and Imke Schellekens Bartels.
In addition, Brabant is a focus in The Netherlands for high-tech innovations. It is often referred to as the 'Europe's Silicon Valley'. Technology leaders, such as Tesla, ASML Phillips have some of their key facilities located in Brabant. It is, therefore, very logical that innovations in horse sport originate from the region.
The province has decided to invest in Ipos Technology through the Brabant Investment Fund and will assist the company in its development and growth in the coming years.
