Ipos Wins Prestigious Dutch Start-Up Award

Ipos Technology has won the prestigious Gerard & Anton Award 2018. The annual award, which is organized by Brainport Eindhoven, and is named after the two brothers who founded Phillips, is given to the ten most promising start-ups from the Eindhoven region, in The Netherlands, each year. It confirms that Ipos Technology is one of the top ten companies to watch due to their combination of applied innovative technology and entrepreneurship.

The Gerard & Anton Award is well-known in the region for recognizing start-up companies that show great potential for significant success in the long-term. This is illustrated by the fact that 95% of the recipients of the Award have developed successfully. This is an unusually high proportion in the start-up world, in which, only a small percentage of companies tend to survive for a long time. The reputation of the Award as having a good eye for business potential is attributed to the skill of its jury, which is guided by former Alderman, Staf Depla.

All recipients of the 2018 Award are convinced that the Eindhoven business and technology ecosystem has made an important contribution to their success so far. In particular, they see access to expertise in technology as a big advantage.

“Equestrian sports are about perfect communication between humans and horses, but that communication does not happen by itself," remarked Menke Steenbergen, CEO of Ipos Technology. "Misunderstandings can not only lead to poor results, they can also be at the expense of the welfare of the horse. With Ipos Rein Sensors, the rider gets more insight into what they are doing. This insight can be used to improve performance and monitor the welfare of the horse better.”
